SERVICE NET, INC. SECURES MULTIVENDOR
SERVICE CONTRACT PROGRAM WITH PEOPLEPC
November 10, 1999, Louisville, Kentucky
-- Service Net, Inc., headquartered in Louisville, KY, announced today an agreement with PeoplePC, a SoftBank-backed company, to provide its members with on-site PC service repair. Service Net will join a long list of major PeoplePC service partners to include Compaq, Ingram-Micro, MCI WorldCom and Toshiba among others.
PeoplePC provides its members with name brand computer equipment, unlimited Internet access, in-home computer support and significant discounts with major e-tailers, all for a monthly fee similar to the cost of basic Internet service.
“Service Net’s goal is to equip PeoplePC with a single, comprehensive service offering that will cover all brands of PCs and home office products,” said Kevin Callahan, president of Service Net, Inc. “We expect this product line to provide a valuable service offering for PeoplePC while meeting their customers’ needs.”
