SERVICE NET SECURES MULTIVENDOR SERVICE CONTRACT PROGRAM WITH PC CONNECTION
Louisville, Kentucky, June 17, 1999
-- Service Net, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACCENT Marketing Services, announced today an agreement with PC Connection (NASDAQ: PCCC), a leading direct marketer of brand-name personal computers and related accessories (www.pcconnection.com), to offer service contracts to the more than 2 million customers PC Connection reaches.
Kevin Callahan, President of Service Net, stated that Service Net’s goal “is to equip PC Connection with a single, comprehensive service contract offering that will cover all brands of PCs and home office products. We expect this product line will improve margins and provide a valuable new service offering for PC Connection while meeting their customers’ needs.”
The service agreement from Service Net provides on-site service and/or express ship repair on computer equipment for terms of 2,3 or 4 years on a nation-wide basis. From a service solution and PC Connection’s revenue perspective, the program offers several key benefits:
• Multi-Vendor Service Coverage
• Substantial margins for PC Connection on each contract
• National Service Coverage – In addition to utilizing PC Connection, Service Net also dispatches (or express ship equipment) to qualified technicians to perform service. This is performed through an extensive network of national and regional service providers developed and managed by Service Net.

In addition to the benefits realized by PC Connection, customers are afforded many key features to keep their equipment downtime at a minimum:
• 7 x 24 Service Net call center availability for both hardware and software technical support (unlimited 1-800 calls as long as the title is active)
• Day of Purchase Plan - coverage begins immediately
• Extended Warranty Plan - coverage commences after manufacturer’s labor warranty expires (on-site availability 7 X 24)
• Fully Transferable
PC Connection customers will be able to purchase from two select plans for service coverage and will feel confident that any make or model is covered in addition to benefiting from a fully-transferable service contract from another vendor.
